With fresh formats, practical content and a clear focus on future topics, HOLZ-HANDWERK 2026 presents itself as a powerful source of inspiration for the woodworking and wood processing industry. HOLZ-HANDWERK will take place from 24 to 27 March 2026 under the motto ‘Experience. Discover. Do.’ as usual in conjunction with FENSTERBAU FRONTALE in Nuremberg. The leading European Trade Fair for Machine Technology, Equipment and Supplies for the Wood Crafts is organised by VDMA Woodworking Machinery Association and NürnbergMesse GmbH.

Stefan Dittrich, Exhibition Director at HOLZ-HANDWERK, is eagerly looking forward to the upcoming event: "With the HOLZ-HANDWERK Arena, and the materials show, we are creating spaces where ideas can grow and the craftsmanship of tomorrow can take shape. Our goal is not only to show visitors products, but also to provide inspiration for their daily work and strategic development. We are particularly pleased that numerous renowned exhibitors have already registered again – a strong sign of the relevance and appeal of HOLZ-HANDWERK. The current list of exhibitors is available on our website at any time."

New HOLZ-HANDWERK Arena as the centrepiece for exchange and inspiration

In 2026, the HOLZ-HANDWERK Arena will celebrate its premiere – as a central platform for knowledge transfer, industry dialogue and practical inspiration, covering topics such as corporate management, AI, digitalisation and promoting young talent. Whether inspiring lectures, lively discussion panels or concrete best practices: the Arena will become a vibrant meeting place for anyone who wants to develop, network and gain new perspectives. The new format is supported by a cooperation with the trade magazine ‘dds – Das Magazin für Möbel und Ausbau’ (dds – The Magazine for Furniture and Fittings).

The supporting programme will be complemented by themed guided tours offering specific insights into innovations and solutions. It will be rounded off by exciting contributions and discussions with industry influencers who will examine current trends and invite visitors to reflect on the future of the skilled trades. The ‘Happy Hour’ will ensure a relaxed end to the trade fair day – a casual networking format with plenty of room for exchange.

New design inspiration at the FSH Bavaria materials show

The supporting programme will once again be enriched by a special exhibition organised by the Bavarian Association of Cabinetmakers (FSH) in cooperation with the VDMA and NürnbergMesse. This time, the materials show will provide new inspiration for design. Innovative materials that have not yet been widely used in the carpentry trade and offer great potential for future projects and new applications will be presented. New processing methods will also be highlighted. The focus will be on inspiration through materiality. New surfaces, structures, combinations and manufacturing processes enrich the work of the creative carpenter and bring a wide range of possibilities for creative implementation. Materials from related industries and further developments of traditional materials contribute to opening new creative avenues and expanding the spectrum of craftsmanship.

Support for start-ups and young talent

Start-ups and young companies will present their products and innovations at the joint ‘Young Innovators’ stand in Hall 1. This stand is once again sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and organised in collaboration with FENSTERBAU FRONTALE. At the HOLZ-HANDWERK Campus in Hall 11, technical colleges will again be presenting their curricula and qualifications to young professionals.
