Following the decision, in close consultation with exhibitors, to postpone HOLZ-HANDWERK 2022 until Tuesday 12-Friday 15 July, the team at NürnbergMesse is now working with customers and partners to prepare this special 20th edition in the summer. Many manufacturers expressed support for postponing this event and have made a firm commitment to attend in July.
Stefan Dittrich, Director HOLZ-HANDWERK, comments: “By postponing the exhibition until July we are giving all participants the opportunity to plan with more confidence and have ensured more reliable overall conditions for holding HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE in 2022. Exhibitors assessed the new dates critically: Those in favour of postponement focused on the pandemic and the associated uncertainty surrounding a March timing. Those who initially took a sceptical position were influenced by questions such as product availability, overlapping dates, and sometimes also holiday times. That’s why we’re all the more pleased with the high level of commitment, and we are confident the new, one-off summer schedule will prove a winner!”
Prominent industry participants emphasise:
“As Eumabois President, I very much regret that HOLZ-HANDWERK 2022 cannot take place on the planned date at the end of March. Even so the postponement to July 12, 2022, was not an easy step, it is the right decision at this point in time. I'm already looking forward to July and I'm sure that we will see an event that, in addition to innovations and good technical discussions, will again have the spirit that is so specific to Nuremberg. With the successfully implemented hygiene concept of NürnbergMesse, we will also find boundary conditions that will ensure a safe and successful trade fair duo of HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE.” Jürgen Köppel, President of Eumabois and CEO of Leitz GmbH & Co. KG
“The sector needs its meeting place at HOLZ-HANDWERK! We are very happy that there will be an alternative date in July, and it goes without saying that WEINIG Group with its WEINIG and HOLZ-HER brands will be there. We have already begun planning for this “Summer Edition” of HOLZ-HANDWERK, and we are looking forward to the sector coming together again in Nuremberg from 12 to 15 July!” Oliver Kunzweiler, Head of Central Marketing, WEINIG VERTRIEB UND SERVICE GmbH & Co. KG
“We are really looking forward to the personal contact and interaction with visitors after this extended dry period with no trade fairs. The economic situation in our area has fortunately proven very stable, and we are still observing a strong willingness to invest. The trade fair, with its productive discussions and visitors eager to learn more, is therefore an important tool that we’ve missed these past two years. We are hoping for lively interest and strong visitor numbers at HOLZ-HANDWERK in July.” Jacek Pigorsch, CEO Biesse Deutschland
“We are expecting appropriate visitor numbers given the overall conditions, since we expect our customers in the skilled trades to have a strong interest in attending an in-person event. And you can only evaluate workpiece quality or how easy machines are to operate by seeing them for yourself in person. Since HOLZ-HANDWERK is the leading exhibition for a core target group of HOMAG, it offers us and our customers an ideal platform to interact on new products and market requirements. That helps us make constant improvements in our portfolio for the skilled trades.” Achim Homeier, Senior Director Global Marketing & Product Management, HOMAG GmbH
"For Hettich, HOLZ-HANDWERK is the perfect marketplace to present new products, solutions and services. Here, we can directly address a broad specialist audience from the craft and the trade. Hettich has been a passionate exhibitor at HOLZ-HANDWERK since the very first event in 1992. That's why we will also be a part of this year’s 'Summer Edition 2022' from 12 to 15 July and look forward to many visitors in Nuremberg."Jan Hübschmann, Head of Sales Trade/Crafts for Central Europe at Hettich
HOLZ-HANDWERK in Nuremberg – a sure thing!
Exhibitions and congresses have been held again at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg since September 2021, and exhibitors and visitors have responded positively and with a sense of responsibility. The hygiene strategy in place at HOLZ-HANDWERK is based on the currently applicable Infection Protection Measures Ordinance (Infektionsschutzmassnahmenverordnung) and the umbrella hygiene strategy for trade fairs and exhibitions that applies in Bavaria. The hygiene and access concept been successfully implemented at all events taking place at the NürnbergMesse venue and has proved its value. These strategies, which can be adapted at short notice depending on the state of the pandemic and legal requirements, enable NürnbergMesse to create a framework in which participants can network and do business in a positive atmosphere.
