Natalie Kiesel: 3 Questions – 3 Facts!

A portrait of the HOLZ-HANDWERK team. Today: Natalie Kiesel, coordinator organisation and exhibitor managament.

Picture Natalie Kiesel Natalie Kiesel joined NürnbergMesse in September 2016 and is responsible for organisation and exhibitor management within the HOLZ-HANDWERK team.

What is the most exciting thing about HOLZ-HANDWERK for you?

I love the diversity of what our exhibitors have to offer - in our seven halls, everything is represented that carpenters and joiners need for their daily work, from large woodworking machines to handy power tools, from fittings to operating software. Not to forget the education offers of the schools and universities on the HOLZ-HANDWERK CAMPUS and the inspirations on the special areas, for example from our partner Fachverband Schreinerhandwerk Bayern. In this context, I am of course thrilled every time anew by the practical character of the fair - all these solutions and innovations are demonstrated and tried out. The flying wood chips make HOLZ-HANDWERK an event with a very special atmosphere!

What moment during the fair do you not want to miss?

The big tingle sets in for me when the first trucks roll onto our exhibition grounds. Seeing how the empty exhibition halls fill up within a few days, how elaborate stand constructions that we have discussed with the exhibitors beforehand are realized, and how the Nuremberg exhibition site develops into one of the most important meeting places for the woodworking and wood processing industry - these are the best days before it's time to open the hall doors at 10 a.m. on the first day of the exhibition for four whole days of Discover - Experience - Do!

Away from the hustle and bustle of the trade fair: What are your favorite tasks before and after HOLZ-HANDWERK?

My favorite thing is to be in constant exchange with our exhibitors, to advise and answer their questions, and to find solutions together for a wide variety of concerns. Whether by phone or e-mail, and of course in person during the run-up to the trade fair or the PressPreview: I'm always happy to help!

What you probably didn't know about Natalie Kiesel:

I prefer to travel abroad on business to ...

... Italy, which - along with Germany - is most strongly represented at HOLZ-HANDWERK in terms of both exhibitors and visitors, and where NürnbergMesse also has a subsidiary that of course supports us in promoting our event.

Fun Fact:

I completed my training as an event manager at NürnbergMesse. Within the three years of training, all trainees pass through various stations in the company. In addition to event organization and sales, these also include relevant cross-sectional departments such as marketing, accounting or support. In this way, we get to know all the processes that enable smooth event operations and the relevant contact persons. I was also already deployed in the HOLZ-HANDWERK team as part of my training - and returned there afterwards!
