What do you appreciate about the exhibitors at HOLZ-HANDWERK?

I very much appreciate the regular and enriching exchanges with our exhibitors. Over time, great trust has been built up as well as very cooperative business relationships. I really enjoy engaging in dialog with the exhibitors and have been very impressed from the very beginning by their willingness and openness to provide me with first-hand information about industry trends and by their interest in working together and at eye level towards a successful trade show.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the trade fair: What are your favorite tasks before and after HOLZ-HANDWERK?

A favorite task – taking in the feedback from our exhibitors and using it to develop new ideas for the upcoming trade show and for the phases between the trade shows. Staying in regular contact with the exhibitors, observing the market and planning the trade fair with all the small and large milestones – these are all tasks that I value and take great pleasure in.

In addition, I find it fascinating to look for promising international target markets for our customers and exhibitors and to experience the respective trade show with our customers on site and to develop the market.

The combination of conceptual and operational tasks, the close customer contact and how the tool trade fair can help exhibitors to make their company and their products even more visible on the market - all this and much more makes it so exciting for me to work for and on HOLZ-HANDWERK.

What do you find exciting about HOLZ-HANDWERK 2022?

The exciting thing about HOLZ-HANDWERK in 2022 is that it will be the first HOLZ-HANDWERK for me in presence. I am very pleased to finally be able to meet many more exhibitors in person on site in Nuremberg. Many of our exhibitors I have previously only been able to meet at competing exhibitions at home and abroad or via digital channels. Wonderful business relationships have developed from this. Nevertheless, I am already very much looking forward to these personal moments on the exhibition site and also to finally being able to experience live and up close the unique atmosphere in the halls described by my team.

What you probably didn't know about Sibylle Böttner:

My favorite place to travel abroad for work is...

...Vietnam – hopefully soon! I would like to visit the exciting growth market for woodworking. Vietnam is on its way to becoming the leading country in Asia, especially in furniture manufacturing. NürnbergMesse organizes the German joint pavilion on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and in my role as Sales Manager I advise companies on their market opportunities in Vietnam.

Fun Fact:

I also inspire others with my enthusiasm for trade fairs – this summer, for the second time, a cooperation on the topic of trade fairs as a marketing tool took place with the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Sales and Marketing at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg, one of my academic stations. In cooperation with various exhibitors and representatives of NürnbergMesse, we addressed the importance of trade fairs in the B2B sector with Master's students, and the students had the opportunity to get in touch with exhibitors in various Q&A sessions and have their questions answered directly and from a practical perspective. I really enjoy bringing the topic of trade fairs into the university environment, introducing students to the fascinating and multifaceted working world of a trade fair company, and at the same time bringing them into contact with representatives from the field.
