Stains can be both water and solvent-based.
The particular formulation of water-based stains offers the following advantages:
- They guarantee excellent wettability to the supports;
- They distinguish themselves for their high aesthetic performances of clearness and enhancement of woods,
- They are non-flammable
- They contribute to reduction of emissions.
Solvent-based stains are particularly indicated to meet the needs of industrial production, as their good aesthetic performance matches their high drying rapidity, guaranteeing very high productivity standards.

These concentrates have to be used in the colouring of clear paints such as nitro-cellulose or polyurethane. They have good colouring power and make wood bright and clear. The colours are characterized by good light resistance even though they are not suitable for sun exposure.
Stains for roller application
Formulated with special micronized organic pigments guaranteeing good resistance to light. They can be used for the coating of flat surfaces by roller coater, giving good uniformity.
Stains which can be removed with sandpaper in order to obtain antiquing or decapé effect. They differ from each other for their easier or more difficult removal, which indicates their suitability for hand or scotch-brite sanding.
Stains giving the surface a decorative antiquing effect, which is a typical characteristic of old style furniture.
Positive effect stains
these stains have a hydro-soluble base, for the staining of coniferous wood (pine and fir); they have a good resistance to light and a very high resistance to water. They are available in the wax version, to give wood a special softness; and in the over-coatable version, for industrial cycles, having good chemical resistance.
Dipping water-based stains
Hydro soluble stains mainly used for the coating of chairs and woodturned items, they give the surface excellent uniformity they give the surface good uniformity in colour.
