SEMA programs have a modular structure and can thus be perfectly adjusted to the individual needs of our customers. What all modules have in common is that they are completely embedded into the SEMA user interface, which follows the modern standards of the Windows XP and Vista operating systems.
Fast Layouts & Plans
Intelligent input options enable the fast and simple input of even the most complicated building ground plans. Especially helpful in this context is the excellent integration of architectural drawings which include amongst others an optimised data exchange with architectural and real-estate programs via SCI-XML. Furthermore, also the file formats DXF and DWG can be used, or you can use scanned drawings and integrate them. Even direct imports from theodolites or other surveying systems are possible.
Once the basic building outline has been entered into the system, comprehensive profile and input assistants help to quickly enter roofs, ceilings and walls.
Many Automatic Features
For walls and roofs the SEMA program offers the user very powerful automatic features: repeating details are only entered once and can then be used again via the auto function.
This makes it also possible to adapt the program exactly to your special needs. And the individual steps necessary for this adaptation are so easy, that every user can create them himself.
In every design phase of the building, the complete visual representation of the building is just a mouse-click away. Every individual detail and special processing and even the most complicated connections can the visualized without any additional work.
Realistic like Photos
But SEMA does not only offer normal visualization: With a few additional inputs such as ‘Position of the sun’ or ‘Type of lighting’ the entire building, individual components or details can be represented in a photo-realistic way. It takes only a few seconds calculation time to print out a picture which shows exactly what the future building will look like.
The SEMA Timber Construction Program has an integrated structural analysis program with which the com-plete building can be structurally analysed. You have to set the relevant load parameters and the program then automatically calculates the support positions, load compensations etc. Even complicated building can thus be analysed quickly and reliably.
Fasteners & Brackets
The SEMA program offers the complete range of all imaginable forms of timber connectors. In addition to that you can access fasteners & brackets from the catalogues of all international manufacturers. And of course, the program calculates all necessary processings on the components as well as the counter compo-nents automatically.
Often it takes a lot of time to print out drawings – but not with SEMA. Drawing templates and layouts can be individually adapted to the needs of your company. Furthermore, you have comprehensive functions that automate the drawing output so that you do not need to spend any more time on it. Drawings can be printed out in any scales and formats, up to true-to-size printouts. Also the option to print out the project on several pages is integrated into the system.
Buildings constructed with the SEMA program can be automatically transferred to CNC-controlled pro-duction lines; that includes strippers as well as universal wood-working machines, wall- and element-prefabrication stations.
If production is outsourced to other companies, the data transfer to these companies is very easy – and again this applies to universial wood-working machines, panel saws as well as wall- and element-prefabrication stations.
