A new MAKA machining center receives its world premiere at Holz-Handwerk in Nuremberg. With this modular concept, the CNC specialist is sharpening its profile of customization options.
The robust new PM Modular, a moving bridge type machine, makes the high-quality MAKA technology appealing to a broad range of buyers and represents an evolution of earlier generations of machines. As an alternative to the well-known highly individualized MAKA solutions, the PM Modular bundles the many MAKA options in demand-oriented equipment variants. The basis of the machine concept is a flexible modular system with a good price-performance ratio. The new model is available in a 3-axis and a 5-axis version, or even a combined version with two units. For machines with 3-axis technology, an additional vector axis can be integrated in order to increase flexibility. Thanks to the multi-channel technology within the modern MAKA CNC control systems, two-stage and multi-unit technology are possible.
The PM Modular is available at staggered entry prices in three trim levels. In addition to the number of units, the available processing space is a distinguishing feature. The Table can be used for setup process and machining operation simultaneously.
To ensure fast setup, MAKA has equipped each head with its own tool changer.
In the modular concept, special attention was paid to the consistent use of modern bus systems such as IO-Link. When it comes to security, the PM Modular scores above all with its visual monitoring of the production process. A newly designed cabin features full-width access doors that open the complete frontage, contributing significantly to accessibility and ease-of-use.
