Technical Training Lab Details

In the “bench room”, hand tools and machines are used for the actual manual work. This teaches trainees the basics of manual material processing. Above all, this room allows the kind of manual skills and craftsmanship to be taught that still play an important role in the traditional profession of joiner/carpenter today. By interacting with their working environment, learners will have the opportunity to discover a great deal about the properties of wood as a material that grows in nature and how to go about working it correctly, as well as joining methods, how to make templates, jigs and fixtures, and assembly methods.
