The MULTI-MONTI-TimberConnect screw anchor (MMS-TC) enables particularly easy, reliable and cost-effective fastening of wooden components to concrete. For this purpose, HECO has combined a concrete thread at the tip of the screw with a wood thread at the top end under the screw head. This not only ensures reliable anchoring of wooden components to concrete, but also achieves an additional locking connection to the wooden component. The combination of concrete and wood threads in one screw allows a higher tensile load, particularly for the acceptance of shear loads. When using the MMS-TC baseplate anchor, the shear loads acting on the anchor can be assumed to act without lever arm, so that – with full building authority approval – it is certified to bear comparable shear and tension loads with lower diameters and overall fewer fastening points. It can be installed by machine and offers all the advantages of the MULTI-MONTI concrete thread: no torque control, small edge distances and no curing times.
