The Putsch ® Company was founded in 1871 by Hermann Putsch® in Hagen to produce cutting tools of all kinds, and later specializing in the manufacture of machines and equipment for the sugar and glass industries. Today, nearly all automated glass factories in the world use Putsch® shear blades. The corporation now has an umbrella of several subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, Spain and the United States. The Putsch® Meniconi subsidiary is well known in the wood industry for precision vertical panel saws, and is among the leading manufacturers of such systems.
The compact class Putsch® SVP 133 and SVP 145 precision panel saws are highly versatile cutting systems. They are suitable for a number of applications. These saws represent the standard models of the Putsch® vertical precision panel saw family. In addition a lower support rail, the saws feature a fold-out center support for handling smaller pieces. Two measuring guides for precision vertical cuts are standard, and other accessories and options including an easy-to-assemble angle cutting unit are also available. For horizontal cutting, an automatic shift function of the support grid is provided, which is controlled by sensors on the saw carriage and prevents cuts to the support bars. The saw unit can also be equipped with a scoring unit to produce clean, finished edges even when cutting with coated blades.
The new series of compact models resulted in the development of combining the SVP 145 model with the solutions and features from the premium SVP 980 model. Due to these design features, the Putsch® SVP 420 precision saw is especially suited for continuous use in confined spaces.
For greater precision, the SVP 420 saw beam uses a linear guide rail system instead of an integrated guide. Furthermore, the depth stop is complemented by an integrated rangefinder and a sliding system for small parts comes standard. The machine is equipped with an independent motorized scoring unit that operates automatically only when the main saw blade is turning.
The Putsch® SVP 950 precision panel saws are highly robust and industrial-class machines for use in the furniture industry or specialized wood working. With a standard cutting length of 5300 mm, they are slightly larger than the model SVP 145. The reinforced 300 mm diameter blade allows cutting depths of up to 80 mm. In addition, this model has another support rail so that smaller panels can be processed at an ergonomic working height. The automatic shifting frame is electrically controlled to reduce wear.
The fully automatic Putsch® SVP 980 precision panel saw is the premium model for industrial use. The automatic cutting process increases the material output, thereby reducing per unit costs. This series is equipped with an innovative control system and touch screen display.
The user interface can also be displayed in multiple languages. The available configurations and options will show on the operator display. Dimensions and feed rate settings can be easily entered on the touch screen panel into the computer. The interface also monitors all relevant data and the current operating state of the system through numerous messages and warnings. Technical settings and manuals are saved and can be referenced on the display. The SVP 980 model control panel features a USB and a network interface and can be used for remote analysis of errors and the loading of data and software updates.
