Universal use with maximum lifetime
Abrasives specialist sia Abrasives is adding the net-backed abrasives 7900 sianet and 7500 sianet CER to its product range. The different grit types of these two abrasive series cover all applications: sianet net-backed abrasives are suitable for both coarse and fine sanding of different materials and surfaces.
A special coating method provides sianet with maximum sanding performance. Its open net structure allows for full-surface extraction of the sanding dust. This minimises clogging of the abrasive, increases its lifetime and ensures a virtually dust-free environment. A clean work environment protects the user’s health, increases process reliability and contributes towards work safety.
sianet is extremely compatible, independent of a hole system and versatile to use. It is therefore effortlessly positioned all backing pads and hand sanding tools. The resilient net backing, which adapts to all shapes and contours, ensures high tear resistance and edge stability. Controlled grit coating also ensures that the fastening loops on the back remain free of abrasive grain. This prevents expensive abrasive components such as backing pads from wearing down prematurely.
Whether for removing paint and sanding out scratches, preparing surfaces or shaping, flatting and fine sanding all different kinds of materials and surfaces – the sianet net-backed abrasive is suitable for universal use. The application ranges of sianet include keying lacquers, primers, bodyfillers or primer fillers, sanding off coatings and impurities, and fine sanding solid wood, veneers, solid surface materials, priming foils and plasterboard.
Two series covering all application ranges
The two sianet series differ from each other in grit type and available grit ranges. Due to its blue-fired/white aluminium oxide, 7900 sianet is especially suitable for use on soft materials such as softwood, lacquer, bodyfillers, primers, primer fillers or plaster and plasterboard. By contrast, 7500 sianet CER is ideal for sanding hard surfaces such as hard bodyfillers, solid surface and composite materials thanks to its ceramic aluminium oxide. Both have a high removal rate and high tear resistance as well as the full-surface dust extraction, with the ceramic grit providing an even higher removal rate and even longer lifetime.
