The SC Series from Record Power is a range of Premium chucks and Jaws for the serious or professional Woodturner. Developed through consultation with both hobby users and professional woodturners as well as specialist woodturning retailers we have designed what we believe is the most flexible and best value system in its sector of the market.
The high standard of this range is unsurpassed - we have engineered out the superfluous features of some of the common designs that are widely available and also combined the attributes of some jaws into one design. The condensed range of 14 sets of jaws offers woodturners all the functionality they need and all jaws are compatible with both models of Record Power chuck as well as our previous Nova series chucks.

Record Power has a long and impressive history. Established in Sheffield, the heart of the UK's steel industry, and stretching back over 100 years, we enjoy an enviable reputation for creating high quality tools through our many years of experience and unparalleled knowledge in manufacturing and design. Our policy of continual improvement and development has seen us remain at the forefront of tool manufacturing whilst also acquiring and developing such brands as CamVac, Coronet of Derby and Burgess from Leicester. In addition, our industrial brand, Startrite, also has a long history of providing high quality, durable machinery to the trade professional and various features of these machines are the inspirations behind aspects of many Record Power machines.
The Record Power head office, manufacturing facility and distribution centre is now based in the heart of the UK at Barlborough, a few short miles from our Sheffield roots and very close to junction 30 of the M1. Some of our staff have been with us for up to 40 years, ensuring we still retain and pass on our in-depth knowledge and expertise in hand and machine tool manufacturing and use. This gives us the distinct advantage of being able to continue to design, develop and source a comprehensive and wide ranging selection of premium quality products to meet the needs of discerning woodworkers. Many of our products are manufactured in the UK and Europe and our own UK manufacturing facility is constantly expanding and developing to offer an ever-growing range of UK made products.
